Karlene Fletcher

“I am not gifted more than anyone else but I love to think creatively and to think big. There will always be better musicians, deeper thinkers, more talented athletes and the list goes on. However, as I look over my life, God keeps putting me in places where my gifts are needed and helpful and that is where I want to be.”

Karlene was raised in the Orangeville and Ottawa areas respectively. She has completed her music and education degrees, toured and recorded throughout the U.S, taught in schools and led worship in variety of venues. Today, she is the Worship & Creative Arts Director at Arlington Woods Free Methodist Church in Nepean.

Karlene has been married to Cliff for 30 years. Together they have raised two pretty awesome adult children. She is most comfortable sitting at her piano and singing, kayaking down the river with Cliff, playing games with family, walking her dog, gardening, getting to know the artists and shopkeepers of her small, poetic town, reading, and sometimes shedding a tear after watching an inspiring movie.

Adam Hu

Adam is a Toronto-based pianist, singer, educator, and visual artist. As a solo pianist, Adam frequently performs across Canada and the United States. He is a recipient of the Fort Dodge Young Artist Award and winner of the 2015 Iowa State University Concerto Competition. As a collaborative musician, Adam has extensive experience working with community music groups, chamber ensembles, choirs, and orchestras. He has been invited to teach several master classes for high school students and have presented lecture recitals for undergraduate students at Roberts Wesleyan University and Iowa State University.

Adam discovered his love for teaching through his work as a music director in local churches. Through teaching music to people of all background and musical literacy, Adam developed an adaptable and approachable teaching style. He is often praised for his imaginative language and methodical approach to the keyboard as an educator.

Aside from music, Adam is a fine artist working exclusively with paper. You can find his works in magazines, local galleries, and the 2021 City of Toronto Film Project: Awakenings.

Anouchka Hollinger

Anouchka is a force to be reckoned with. She is a million things and she’s in a million places. But shining at the core of her personhood are her love for God’s redemptive mission through the arts and her heart for the artists.

Prior to moving to Canada, Anouchka has worked as a professional floral designer and event coordinator. She’s the mastermind behind many flash mobs across Europe. Having now re-established herself in Ottawa, Anouchka spends her days tutoring French, creating floral arrangements for events and markets, and, we really love this one, growing her own vegetables!
